Systems Engineer

Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Department of Corrections supporting radio communication infrastructure and technology. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension Pay Range: $47 - $50 / hr. on W2 What's the Job? Support, configure, maintain, and install radio systems and related technologies across multiple sites. Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing standards for radio hardware, software, and network systems. Conduct fleet mapping, maintenance, and audits of Code Plug data for programmable radios. Maintain inventory of radio equipment and coordinate procurement to ensure compatibility and cost efficiency. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure radio systems meet industry standards and operational needs. What's Needed? 1-2+ years of experience supporting, configuring, and maintaining radio communication systems. Experience with EF Johnson Radio Coordinator or similar radio management systems. Knowledge of developing and implementing standards for hardware, software, and network systems. Ability to conduct fleet mapping, maintenance, and audits of radio programming data.
