Make an impact in a school setting by providing essential nursing care to a kindergarten student on a one-on-one basis. Located near Kansas City, KS, this contract opportunity is ideal for an RN or LPN who is passionate about pediatric care and ready to start as soon as possible, continuing through May 29. You'll be supporting a young student with medical needs, working exclusively on Fridays at a single school location.

Qualifications:

• Current RN or LPN license for the state of Kansas
• Experience in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred
• Proficient in tracheostomy (trach) and gastrostomy tube (gtube) care
• Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate, individualized nursing
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with school staff and families
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and FERPA

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and support a kindergarten student as their primary nurse
• Provide skilled nursing care for g-tube feedings and trach management throughout the school day
• Monitor, document, and report on the student's medical status
• Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure the student’s health and safety
• Respond promptly to any medical emergencies
• Participate in any relevant care planning or meetings as needed
