Legal Assistant
Our client, a reputable legal practice specializing in litigation and transactional matters, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be part of the administrative support staff supporting attorneys and legal professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Brea, CA
Pay Range: $28
Shift: 8:30AM - 5:30PM, Monday to Friday
What's the Job?
- Perform clerical duties including filing (numeric and alpha) and managing office equipment.
- Maintain and organize files, databases, and records with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Compose routine correspondence, reports, and manage calendar schedules for attorneys.
- Answer phones, screen calls, take messages, and handle communication efficiently.
- Assist with data entry for QuickBooks and billing programs such as TimeSlips.
What's Needed?
- Excellent clerical skills and experience with office machines.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including advanced word processing skills.
- Experience with WordPerfect, QuickBooks, TimeSlips, and Legal Solutions/Essential Forms preferred.
- Legal secretary and/or paralegal experience is a plus.
- Notary Public certification is advantageous.
