To learn more about Team OC please visit have an opportunity for a Part-Time (benefits eligible) Radiology Technologist in our Belmont office.**The **Radiology Technologist** will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.**Essential Functions:*** Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.* Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.* Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.* Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.* Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.* Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.**Skills and Abilities:*** Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment, (i.e. Siemens/GE/Philips).* Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.* Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.* Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.* Observes safety and security procedures.**Qualifications:*** Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.* Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.* Professional license or certification requirements:* Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.* Current CPR certification recommended.### ### **Employee Type**Regular## **Qualifications**### **Skills**### **Education**### **Certifications**CPR - Other, Registered Radiology Tech - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist #J-18808-Ljbffr
