Overview New CDL Graduate Start your Career with Ryder's Driver Development Program. We have a Class A Driver opening in Princeton, IN for Recent New CDL Graduates that have received their CDL License. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder. We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintain accurate records and logs Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight Perform other duties as assigned Requirements 9 months or less of CDL driving experience Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Benefits Uniforms and boot allowance provided Paid personal time off starts at day 1 - 80 hours accrued in first year Medical, dental, vision start at 30 days 12 weeks of paid maternity leave for qualifying employees Immediate 401k rollover and contributions with company match at one year Discounts on tools, cars, hotels worldwide, electronics/appliances, cell phones, travel and more Ryder Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions and protect the job when you do Additional Information Spots are filling fast — click apply now to secure your spot.
