Patient Services Representative-Assistant (School of Dentistry)

Job Title

Under close supervision, responsible for general clerical support in a patient care environment and/or clinical setting by providing administrative support for clients based programs and by responding to inquiries concerning department programs, services and activities.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, processes and enters payment requests for laboratory invoices received for patient services through a financial system.
• Scans invoices into patient's accounts and laboratory shared files ensuring payments are posted and complete.
• Assists students in the laboratory window area with implant parts and orders. Enters laboratory implant requests for patients.
• Provides monthly reports and verifies payments.
• Provides other clerical duties and projects as requested.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
• Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
