Description of Work

The Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is based in the Wentworth office, Rockingham County, which is a satellite office of the Burlington Unit. This position is third party funded and works closely with the Rockingham County school system. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and casework support to the Rehabilitation Counselor covering transition students and adults with primarily development and intellectual disabilities, as well as case management support to the Rehabilitation Counselor that covers the general physical caseload.

The position requires a wide range of knowledge regarding community resources and local employers as well as the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Job responsibilities include the following:

* Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselor with determining eligibility and required rehabilitation/independent living services.
* Assist with develop a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian; inputting casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process.
* Preparing documents including authorizations and correspondences as needed; and completion of all related administrative tasks in tandem with the processing assistant
* Monitor the consumer's progress throughout the service delivery process
* Work directly with community partners in order to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming suitably employed
* Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system as required by agency policy

Salary Range: $39,244 -$68,679

Recruitment Range: $39,244 -$49,000

• Demonstrated ability to provide effective front-line service to the public, including responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining professionalism in diverse and fast-paced environments.
