Job Objective: The Supervisor Sourcing is an entry-level leader that manages the day-to-day operations of the Sourcing function. This role will be responsible for ensuring assigned areas operate in a cost effective and efficient manner to achieve defined business objectives and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Lead and supervise the Sourcing team as well as provide guidance, coaching, and support.
• Oversee day-to-day sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.
• Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.
• Utilize data and metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the sourcing process.
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Responsible for achieving defined business objectives and contributes to department KPI's.
• Conduct forecasting for raw material cost and consumption.
• Continuously analyze market and delivery conditions to ensure present and future material availability.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Product Development to develop product specifications and source substitute and new materials.
• May handle complex problems pertaining to sourcing, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, claims, and customer relations.
• Actively involved in sourcing invectives and provides support to resolving problems.
• Work towards achieving sourcing sales and margin objectives.
• Visit suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product quality and service.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. 4-6 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience. 0-3 years of management experience preferred.

Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
