Job Title: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) for an exciting Travel opportunity in California.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
• Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure efficiency and patient safety
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic practices at all times
• Handle, label, and track surgical instruments and supplies accurately
• Assist with patient positioning and surgical preparation
• Participate in room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
• Support emergency and scheduled surgical cases as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and equipment usage
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond during off-hours as required
• Float within surgical services as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience required (5 years preferred)
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols
• Experience in an acute care hospital operating room setting
• Ability to work on-call, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple surgical specialties and rotating assignments

Preferred Qualifications

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) Certification preferred
• California Surgical Technologist License preferred (pending license accepted)
