Loan Assistant

Position Loan Assistant – responsible for assisting loan officers with administrative lending and clerical duties, serving as primary receptionist for loan officers. Responsibilities Serve as primary receptionist and assist loan officers with loan needs of the branch/market. Greet and direct visitors applying for a loan. Organize loans for customer signature and loan processing; prepare loans for booking; type credit memos, letters, and correspondence. Cross‑sell bank products. Answer and direct incoming calls or relay messages, as circumstances dictate. Complete clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, faxing, and scanning. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Financial organizational skills and an understanding of financial information. Self‑motivated with strong time‑management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Friendly, courteous manner when greeting customers. Ability to manage detailed tasks/projects with accuracy while meeting deadlines. Desire to be involved in the community. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a loan assistant. Essential Functions Work in a climate‑controlled office environment with frequent use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment. The position requires remaining primarily seated at a personal desk and is subject to varying hours.
