Accounting Assistant

Job Title

Assist with all functions of accounting.

Essential Job Functions

Essential Job Functions:

• Process requisitions into purchase orders.
• Receive vendor invoices and process for payment.
• Process purchase orders for payment.
• Process and distribute checks to vendors.
• File check stubs with appropriate back-up for future reference.
• Provide support and assistance as needed to the cashier and department.
• Other duties as required.

Specific Functional Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

• H.S. Diploma Required, AAS in business or appropriate major preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Background in bookkeeping.

Knowledge:

• General understanding of accounting process.

Skills:

• Ability to work with and understand numbers and accounting.

Personal Requirements:

• Work well in close environment with others. Provide exemplary customer service and handle pressure from vendors and end of month/year heavy work load.
