Speech and Language Pathologist - Denver, CO

Step into an engaging role supporting K-8 students in a close-knit district just north of Denver. This contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact across 16 sites, serving a community of approximately 7,000 students known for its welcoming culture. Both recent graduates and experienced professionals will find support and encouragement from a collaborative team.


You'll be providing services within a mild-moderate needs classroom setting, managing a caseload of 40-50 students, and working full-time hours during the academic year. The district values transparent communication and flexibility-for those early in their relocation process or working toward their Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials, your journey is respected as long as you provide an update at submission.


Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active CCC-SLP credential, or in process with a clear status update
• Eligibility for CDE (information available for public search online)
• Experience in a K-8 or pediatric school setting preferred
• Compassionate communicator with strong collaboration skills
• Comfortable working independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy services to K-8 students
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support student progress
• Develop and document therapy plans and progress for mild-moderate caseload
• Support IEP development, meetings, and compliance
• Participate in ongoing professional development as appropriate
• Contribute to a positive, growth-focused learning environment

The interview process features a two-step format: initial screening with the director via Teams, followed by a panel discussion (ideally in person but virtually accommodated if necessary). Prescreens are conveniently scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
