Shift Leader

Reports To: Area Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and Co-Manager Job Purpose Shift Leaders ensure customer satisfaction by consistently providing good quality products in a timely manner. They use a smile and a positive attitude to motivate coworkers and make Little Caesars a fun place to work. A Shift Leader will use the tools provided to guarantee smooth and profitable operations. They assist the General Manager and Co‑Managers in training, operations and customer satisfaction. Shift Leaders need to be available to work at least 25 hours per week and to work night shifts on the busier days (Friday, Saturday, Halloween, etc.). Must be 18 years old or older because the position requires opening/closing shifts. Basic knowledge of arithmetic and algebra and their applications Tasks Apply the Hot‑N‑Ready Promise to all decisions and stations. Follow company policies, procedures and standards of conduct as outlined in the employee handbook. Provide direction and feedback to colleagues and follow up by coaching or counseling to ensure job duties are performed. Use the Five Priority Guidelines, Remedy Process and other tools provided to successfully run shifts. Motivate your team to reach productivity standards and suggestive sales goals. Supervise coworkers to ensure they perform their job responsibilities to achieve customer satisfaction and profitability. Provide direction, feedback and follow up with coworkers by coaching or counseling to ensure job duties are performed to all Little Caesars standards. Aid the store manager in the development and training of crew using the 4‑step training method. Help control costs by: Following the Little Caesars recipes, proper portioning and turning off equipment when not in use (e.g., 3rd oven, warmers, rounder, etc.). Performing tasks associated with food and paper cost controls (inventories, portion training, following prep build to levels etc.). Controlling labor by monitoring sales, sending people home early when labor is high, calling in employees when short‑staffed and applying labor laws. Accurately counting, weighing products and following build to’s. Operations: Perform cash management responsibilities (e.g., change, deposit, bank, etc.). Use mathematical skills to compute percentages, inventory usage, food orders, cash handling, deposit process and projected business needs. Complete all paperwork: opening, closing, inventory, weekly, etc. Follow all procedures associated with opening and closing the restaurant. Keep up with Portal and HNR business. Appropriately handle unexpected occurrences and notify parties in a timely manner. Use build to’s to ensure the store has the correct amount of preps and is stocked to handle business. Keep waste to a minimum. Complete RealCadence tasks in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with OSHA, labor laws and health department. Follow and enforce Little Caesars policies, procedures and standards of conduct in the Employee Handbook. Appropriately use notification forms. Keep the store clean and organized to abide by health code regulation and ensure smooth operations. Help operations run smoothly even when not the manager in charge of running the shift. Takes direction and feedback from a Manager Trainee, General Manager and Supervisors. Helps ensure all employees are in compliance with the employee dress code and proper grooming. Goals Serve every customer with a smile and a perfect pizza, in less than 30 seconds every time. Consistent good quality products. Sense of urgency. Maximize store profitability. 100% on time portals and have pizzas HNR. Try to achieve 100% on store reviews. A fun environment where employees are excited to work. Working Conditions This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, and cash registers. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to work near heat, ovens, etc. Physical Requirements Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Ability to stand, kneel, climb, reach and push on a regular basis.
