JOB DESCRIPTION:The Product Development Engineer II is an experienced engineering role. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and serves as a key technical member within the Clad Windows Business Unit and is aligned with Andersen’s quality, cost, and performance objectives while advancing our goal of delivering a world-class customer experience.RESPONSIBILITIESProduct Development & Design LeadershipLead design enhancements and product line extensions within assigned platformsTranslate product requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions with minimal supervisionProactively identify design risks and drive mitigation strategies early in the development processTechnical Analysis & ValidationAnalyze engineering data to support design decisionsDevelop and execute validation plans, including testing, DOE (Design of Experiments), and capability studiesCreate and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiencesQUALIFICATIONSMust Have:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering3–7 years of engineering experience in a product development environmentExperience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering teamStrong aptitude for problem solving and technical executionExperience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review processExperience leveraging risk-based tools/processes i.e., FMEA, THANice to Have:Experience with window/fenestration products or similar engineered systemsKnowledge of PDP / stage-gate product development processesExperience with statistical tools, DOE, and data analysisExperience with Autodesk, FEA, MS OfficeKey CompetenciesStrong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilityAbility to lead projects and influence cross-functional teamsEffective communication and decision-making skillsExpected Impact Independently leads workstreams within larger projectsDrives resolution of complex technical issues with minimal oversightContributes to faster, more efficient product development cyclesPAY RANGE:$90,039.00 - $139,561.00 CULTURE AND BENEFITS:At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
