Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Candidates will be required to work weekends and holidays on an every other basis.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients within a medical-surgical and telemetry unit, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for a maximum of 8 patients as part of a team nursing approach, including working alongside LPNs and PCAs.
• Conduct assessments and monitor vital signs, ensuring timely interventions.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response and Code teams as necessary.
• Administer oxygen and assist with non-invasive airway management, as well as managing peripheral lines and isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting within the past year.
• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
