BOH Supervisor / Lead Cook

Sugarfire Smoke House – Wentzville

Sugarfire Smoke House is known for doing barbecue differently—scratch kitchens, high standards, and a team that takes pride in execution. We run fast, stay organized, and hold the line on quality every shift.

We’re hiring a BOH Supervisor / Lead Cook to help run the kitchen and lead shifts from the line.

This is a hands-on leadership role . You’ll be working alongside the team while making sure execution, standards, and flow stay on point.

• Lead and manage the kitchen during your shift

• Work the line while setting the pace and standard for the team

• Ensure food quality, consistency, and ticket times stay on track

• Supervise and support BOH staff throughout service

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

• Assist with training, coaching, and holding team members accountable

• Help with prep, station setup, and daily kitchen operations

• Communicate with FOH as needed to keep service running smoothly

• Previous experience as a Lead Cook, Shift Lead, or Kitchen Supervisor

• Strong ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced environment

• High standards for execution, cleanliness, and consistency

• Calm under pressure and able to make decisions during service

• Organized, dependable, and accountable

• Team-oriented with clear communication

This role is critical to the success of each shift. The BOH Supervisor sets the tone, maintains standards, and ensures the kitchen performs at a high level every day.
