As a Trauma ICU RN on night shift, you'll administer specialized, evidence-based care to critically ill or injured patients. You'll rapidly assess, intervene, and adapt in life-saving situations. You'll work in a unit designed for advanced care and teamwork, where every skill you bring truly matters.

Responsibilities include demonstrating critical knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and high-level continuous nursing vigilance. You'll utilize information and assessment data to anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions. You'll monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays. You'll respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol. You'll observe, monitor, and assess patients' condition, recognize, identify, and interpret serious situations and call Physician or take preplanned emergency measures when Physician is not immediately available.

You'll assess patient's needs and develop/revise an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses. You'll evaluate the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes. You'll respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers. You'll function as a patient and family advocate. You'll demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit/department. You'll serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician. You'll communicate and collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to effectively plan and manage the unit/department. You'll serve as a role model for staff and support the hospital and nursing department's goals and strategies.

Qualifications include a graduate of an approved school of nursing, meeting all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department. You'll maintain current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license, current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU). You'll have 1 year experience required, 2 year ICU experience preferred.
