Duration: 9 months + potential to extend

Pay Range: $25-27/hour W2

Job Description

We are seeking a Cash Application Analyst I to join our team supporting CBS TV Stations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounts receivable, cash application, and payment reconciliation and a proven ability to apply payments accurately, resolve discrepancies, and maintain precise AR records to support month-end close .

Responsibilities:

• Apply cash for CBS TV Stations across checks, wires, and credit cards.
• Review wire transfers and checks received and apply to customer accounts.
• Create credit/debit memos for chargebacks, refunds, and corrections of misapplied cash.
• Collaborate with Collections to match cash to corresponding invoices and clear unapplied amounts timely.
• Prepare the daily cash received report and maintain daily cash receipt accounts, including G/L journal entries.
• Partner with Treasury to identify unknown wires and resolve discrepancies, including tax withholding certificates.
• Process manual credit cards, wire transactions, over-the-counter deposits, and sundry receivables to the miscellaneous lockbox.
• Support month-end close and special AR projects.
• Provide stations with check backup, perform research, and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare ad-hoc internal and external audit reports and participate in audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Accounting or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Hands-on experience with checks, wire transfers, and payment remittance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Detail orientation with solid analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including cross-functional collaboration with Collections and Treasury.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
