UTILITY INVENTORY CONTROL TECHNICIAN II (CLASS CODE 3481)

Responsibilities Journey level technical, administrative and field work tagging, labeling and documenting equipment, heavy machinery, instrumentation, spare components, and property in accordance with established procedures. Work includes performing computerized data entry for inventory, fleet and capital equipment such as model numbers, serial numbers and specifications for assets into handheld devices; and related work as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of utility field experience. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Domicile requirements currently waived; residency requirement waived for all Sewerage and Water Board positions vacant and advertised for at least 90 days. Good moral character is required. An applicant may be disqualified if their character or past employment record is found to be unsatisfactory. Background check required; employment contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history. Criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate.
