Be a vital link in the Evisceration department that keeps operations moving. As a Shuttle driver, you will transport live turkeys to the processing plant using a tractor trailer, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, humanely, and within required timeframes. Your attention to animal welfare, safe driving practices, and reliability will directly support farm partners and plant operations. This role is ideal for safety focused drivers who take pride in professional service and play an essential role in the production process.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00am-1:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Makes a pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck and trailer and fill out DOT inspection forms at end of each trip.
• Carry cover during winter and assist with covering load when temperature is below 30 degrees.
• Cross scale with tractor and trailer and when returning fill trucks with fuel before scaling the full load.
• Secure empty modulars before leaving plant and make sure full modulars are secured before returning.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Work is performed outdoors and in poultry house environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, odors, noise, and uneven or muddy terrain.
• Position requires extended sitting, frequent climbing, bending, and walking on uneven surfaces, with the ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to safely operate a commercial vehicle while following all safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols.
