Position Overview The Team Member is the core of the Caribou experience. They are responsible for creating day‑making experiences through delivering unparalleled guest service, making world‑class hand‑crafted beverages, and bringing the Purpose and Values of Caribou to life in every interaction. Core Responsibilities Provide incredible Guest Service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests, practicing active listening, anticipating guest needs, and proactively solving guest opportunities. Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests. Create day‑making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD. Hand‑craft beverages to order following Caribou standard operating procedures. Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings according to SOPs. Float between barista and guest service roles and willingly fulfill all team member responsibilities. Take guest orders, manage the cash drawer, and follow all cash handling policies and procedures. Maintain the look and feel of a well‑run store by following cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards. Think and act proactively to support the team and guests in the future. Differentiated problem‑solving: determine when issues can be resolved directly and when to seek leader support. Accept and execute direction from leaders while managing multiple priorities. Demonstrate Caribou’s Core Values: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, and Serve With Love. Bring joy to interactions with others, be a reliable team player, and show resilience under pressure. Skills and Qualifications Availability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays, and/or weekends. Minimum age of 16 years. Preferred experience in restaurant, retail, or guest service. Physical Requirements The position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 4–8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
