Candidates with experience as a Field Service Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Mill Maintenance Technician, Water Treatment Technician, Chemical Equipment Technician, HVAC Technician, or Pump/Motor Technician are encouraged to apply.

Client is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support chemical and industrial equipment operations at a paper mill in Port Townsend. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience with industrial equipment, pumps, chemical feed systems, or water treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, assemble, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial/chemical equipment
• Support chemical feed systems and equipment operation
• Assist with pump repairs and basic mechanical troubleshooting
• Monitor boiler water, cooling water, and wastewater systems
• Collect samples, perform basic testing, and record results
• Manage equipment parts, products, and inventory
• Work safely around chemicals, heavy machinery, and other industrial hazards
• Communicate with mill operators, maintenance teams, electricians, and instrumentation personnel
• Identify equipment issues and proactively communicate solutions
• Follow all mill safety requirements and PPE procedures
• Provide occasional on-call, weekend, or holiday support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• 1+ year industrial maintenance, field service, or paper mill experience preferred
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude
• Experience with pumps, motors, chemical equipment, water systems, or industrial machinery
• Paper mill experience is a strong plus
• Basic Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current vehicle insurance
