Retail Banker Job Description Woodforest National Bank is a nationally recognized award‑winning bank, privately owned and employee‑owned. Our Retail Bankers are the face of the organization, serving customers and contributing to community outreach. This role involves customer service, product sales, account processing and branch operations. Key Responsibilities Achieve individual sales by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending bank products and services beneficial to customers. Process transactions, open accounts, and perform account maintenance. Handle branch servicing duties such as vault balancing, cash ordering, and maintenance of automated teller machines. Employ problem‑solving skills to address customer inquiries and/or concerns in a manner consistent with the Woodforest Experience training. Qualifications 3 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience; or an Associate’s degree and 1 year of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience; or a Bachelor’s degree. Previous in‑store banking experience preferred, but not required. Positive, engaging demeanor. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Full‑time position. Little to no overnight travel; occasional coverage up to 45 miles. Working conditions include standing most of the time, walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting briefly, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
