Role Overview The Role Overview The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care, particularly for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. They manage all phases of care—preparation, intra-procedure, and recovery—delivering moderate sedation under physician supervision. The RN collaborates with staff, delegates tasks to unlicensed personnel, and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Responsibilities Include Performing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and modifying them as needed Documenting nursing care accurately and maintaining compliance with standards Preparing patients for procedures, including assessment, education, and IV initiation Monitoring and sedating patients during procedures, and caring for them in recovery Assisting with anesthesia-related cases and ensuring safety protocols are followed Communicating effectively with team members and providing constructive feedback Qualifications And Skills Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with state licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months Diploma in Nursing and relevant nursing experience Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
