1st Shift Material Handler

Material HandlerThe Material Handler plays a key role in our production process by safely moving materials, supporting production lines, and preparing products for shipment. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, attention to detail, and strong forklift experience. Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm. Mandated overtime based on business need.What You'll Do (Material Handler Responsibilities):Pulls stored materials for orders and moves to production or shipping areaExperienced sit-down forklift operator requiredExperience with moving sheet metal and large finished goods safely is preferredAble to identify materials using part numbersAccurately counts raw materialsSupplies work area with materialsPerforms kitting responsibilities as requiredDocuments information related to the material handling of goodsIssues raw material to jobs and performs location transfers in CSI accurately and timelyAccurately counts and tags material prior to material handlingOther duties as assignedEnsures clear and clean pathways to and from all outside and inside exits on the production floor dailyFollows safe manufacturing and material handling practicesWhat You'll Bring:Valid driver license is required (3 years semi infraction, not revocation)Certified fork truck driving with at least one year of experienceExperience operating LP gas driven fork trucksExperience moving at least 1,000 lbs. or more with a fork truckMust possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, bander, shrink wrapper, forklift, tape measures and calipersMust be able to determine material types and gaugesMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust perform all duties in conjunction with UA and ISO requirementsMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assistExpected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person – 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and AgileAdditional Information: This will be an onsite position.
