Mechanic Intern

Mechanic Intern (New Iberia, Louisiana) Position: Mechanic Intern. Responsibilities include gaining exposure to career opportunities within the oil and gas technology industry, learning about the industry, following internship guidelines, and working in 7am-4pm shifts with potential on‑call and weekend work. The internship follows a 3 week on/3 week off rotation and may transition to offshore work after completion. Responsibilities Learn about the oil and gas industry. Follow prescribed internship guidelines each week. Work scheduled hours of 7 am to 4 pm, with occasional on‑call and weekend hours. Prepare for a potential 3‑week on/3‑week off rotation and offshore assignments post‑internship. Qualifications and Experience Recent graduate of a diesel mechanic school or other mechanical degree. Experience repairing Detroit and Caterpillar diesel engines. Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics and some electronics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Local candidates preferred; no relocation offered. Must be able to work 40+ hours per week. Legal Must have the legal right to work in the United States of America without sponsorship.
