The Shop Controls Technician/Electrician plays a crucial role in installing, testing, and maintaining electrical control systems within a small team environment. This individual ensures that all wiring, cabling, and system components are correctly implemented and documented according to technical standards.

This is an on-site position with limited travel, involving installation and programming of various I/O and motor controls related to water treatment OEM fabricated systems.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical control systems and components
• Create and maintain technical documentation for installed systems
• Perform wiring and cabling tasks accurately and safely
• Conduct thorough system testing to verify operational functionality

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical controls
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical wiring
• Familiar with NEC and UL codes and standards
• Proficient in VFD installation and programming
• Expertise in digital, analog, and serial communications
  I.E 4-20ma, 0-10vdc, dry contacts, relays, frequency inputs, Modbus and RS-485
• Expertise in motor controls and electrical wiring
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards
• PLC experience a plus
