Key Responsibilities Manage and develop library resources by maintaining an up-to-date, relevant collection of books and digital materials to support the curriculum. Promote literacy and reading by creating an engaging, welcoming library environment and encouraging students to become confident, independent readers. Support teaching and learning by liaising with staff, recommending resources, and coordinating effective library lessons across subjects. Oversee library systems and operations including cataloguing, booking systems, and ensuring safe and appropriate use of resources and technology. Manage budget and partnerships by monitoring spending, sourcing value for money, and developing links with external organisations to enhance literacy initiatives. Pay Range SCP 12 - 16 £25,152.62 - £26,841.30 + Inner London Allowance £3,518.09 37 Hours a Week, 39 Weeks Per Year FTE: SCP 12 - 16 £28,598 - £30,518 + Inner London Allowance £4,000 Qualifications and Skills Degree or relevant qualification Experience working in a library or educational setting Strong knowledge of children’s or young adult literature Excellent organisational and ICT skills Ability to build positive relationships and promote a love of reading Benefits Financial package including defined benefit pension schemes, life cover, and 31 days annual leave.
