Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, specific concerns, and treatment goals. Educate clients on self‑care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with licensing and health regulations. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and proper draping techniques. Communicate effectively with clients about their progress and adjust treatments accordingly for optimal results. Stay current with industry trends and expand your skills through continuous education in physiology, anatomy, pain management, and occupational health. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage and Bodywork Therapist or equivalent certification. Proven experience in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or first aid is required. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients of diverse backgrounds. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and develop customized treatment plans. Prior experience working in medical spas or occupational health settings is a plus.
