Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Clinical Staff Pharmacist Full-time. Days with rotating weekends – 8 hour rotating shifts. Job Summary and Qualifications The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for assisting in performing daily pharmacy tasks, including but not limited to: filling orders for medications, monitoring patient therapeutic medications, providing drug information, checking medications, IV mixtures and compounding medications prior to distribution. Responsibilities Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly. Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints. Determine and consult on possible drug interactions. Participate in Drug Utilization Review. Monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Utilize knowledge of age‑specific needs of patients in performance of duties and responsibilities. Qualifications BS or MS of Pharmacy Degree. PharmD in Pharmacy required. TN Registered Pharmacist required. Hospital Experience required. Clinical experience preferred.
