# Box Truck Driver (CDL Class B) — Final Mile Delivery

**Location:** Buford, GA

**Job Type:** Full-Time

**Schedule:** Weekdays, home daily — no overnights

Davis Delivery Service has been running final-mile freight across North Georgia since 1985, and we're adding a dependable CDL Class B box truck driver to the team. This is a local route with a steady weekday schedule — you're home every night, driving a truck that's maintained and ready to go.

Davis Delivery Service is a final-mile LTL freight carrier based in Buford, GA, delivering for regional and national accounts across North Georgia and the Southeast. We run a fleet of box trucks and tractor-trailers, and after four decades in business, we know that our drivers are the ones customers actually see — so we treat the role that way.

You'll run a local, multi-stop delivery route in a Class B box truck, moving freight from our Buford facility to businesses across North Georgia. A great fit for this role shows up on time, treats every stop like it's the only customer on the route, and brings the truck back in the same shape it left in. You'll work closely with dispatch and our warehouse team, and your on-time, safe delivery record will speak for itself.

**What You'll Do**

- Operate a Class B CDL box truck on local, home-daily delivery routes throughout North Georgia

- Safely load and unload freight at each stop using a liftgate, hand truck, and pallet jack

- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly

- Scan and confirm proof of delivery, keeping accurate, on-time paperwork

- Communicate route status, delays, or issues with dispatch throughout the day

- Represent the company professionally at every customer stop

- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

**What We're Looking For**

*Required:*

- Valid CDL Class B with a clean driving record

- Current DOT medical certification (or ability to obtain one)

- Able to pass a DOT drug screen and background check

- Comfortable with repetitive lifting (up to ~50 lbs regularly) and regular use of a liftgate/hand truck

- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded

*Preferred:*

- 3 years of box truck or straight truck delivery experience

- Experience running multi-stop local routes

- Familiarity with liftgate and pallet jack operation
