$21-$23 an hour

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Team Lead oversees daily operations, guiding the warehouse team to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient handling of materials for inventory and customer orders while enforcing compliance with core and program-specific processes.

The Team Lead collaborates with Order Management, Corporate Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Project/Program/Account Management, and Transportation teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position manages tasks beyond standard shipments, focusing on shipment accuracy and overall quality control

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Compliance

• Monitor and ensure quality control for warehouse processes, including receiving, picking, and shipping.
• Examine materials to verify conformance to specifications.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.
• Address and resolve quality findings, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Inventory & Data Management

• Perform inventory adjustments and cycle counting (e.g., RMAs, non-conforming materials, order posting).
• Manage warehouse data processes, including material transfers, order maintenance, Oracle tracking updates, and routing.
• Track inventory accuracy, generate reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of material inventory, production status, and location.

Material Handling & Workflow Coordination

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and parts, ensuring efficient inventory management.
• Monitor and control material movement across departments.
• Transport materials as needed to support warehouse operations.

Communication & Reporting

• Communicate inventory status and updates to warehouse teams, operations, project management, and customers.
• Maintain detailed records of time and production activities.

Leadership & Training

• Provide training on required skills to warehouse team members.
• Maintain training records and assist the supervisor in tracking employee development.
• Coordinate department activities and special projects to meet quality and timeline objectives.
• Lead and schedule resources to achieve department productivity and quality goals.

Workplace Safety & Team Culture

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Reinforce a culture that values teamwork, diversity, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback for change.
• Resolve and escalate issues in a timely manner to ensure operational efficiency.

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 50 lbs

• Push utility carts up to 60 lbs

• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shift

• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around

• Go up and down stairs

• Will be exposed to an environment with variable temperatures

• Be trained to and operate forklifts for up to 6 hours a day

Skills and Abilities Required

• Strong knowledge of standard warehouse procedures and inventory control systems.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word; experience with data retrieval and entry.

• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute.

• Experience using computer peripherals such as barcode scanners, printers, and label printers.

• Work experience in ISO/TL 9000-certified operations.

• Ability to work independently with demonstrated leadership skills.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and decimals.

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum of 5 years warehouse experience in inventory control capacity.
• Minimum of 6 months Warehouse Management Experience (WMS).
• Trained in safety of lifting, handling, and transporting materials of various shapes, sizes and weights.

Education and Experience Preferred

• Associate’s degree in business management, logistics, or similar.
