Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. The CNC collaborates with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission and values to support an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services, collaborating with management. Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to create a team environment that supports improved outcomes and service. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Support facility engagement initiatives, operationalizing current nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds and other initiatives. Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement courses of action for training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Registered Nurse with RN diploma. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date. Experience in clinical nursing, preferably in a leadership or charge nurse role. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
