Job Title: Research Scientist – Bioinformatics II

Location: 333 Lakeside Drive, CA 94404 | Fully On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift
Pay: $48.20/hr W2
Contract: 12+ months, possible extension

Job Summary:
Seeking a Research Scientist to support end-to-end CHO Cell Line Development (CLD) activities for biopharmaceutical programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammalian/CHO cell culture, transfection, single-cell cloning, clone screening, cell banking, and fed-batch production.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support automation and high-throughput CLD workflows.
• Collaborate with Cell Culture, Analytical Development, Pilot Plant, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare technical reports and present experimental findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s + 6 years or Master’s + 4 years in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on CHO Cell Line Development experience.
• Experience with cell culture, transfection, cloning, cell banking, cell counting, and shake-flask operations.
• Experience with bioreactors, automated liquid handling, or high-throughput screening is a plus.
• Strong experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
