Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Registered Nurse to join the team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced, outpatient operating room environment, ensuring safety and comfort for all patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and prepare them for surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs during surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure smooth procedures.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license or compact state license.
• Active CPR, ACLS, and PALS or PEARS certifications.
• Proven experience in an operating room or surgical setting.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including call rotation on weekdays and weekends.
