Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Client ICU, Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Current state license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center; willingness to float to Step-Down ICU Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. Candidates must have strong ICU experience. Candidates must be willing to float down to Step-Down ICU. The candidate must have a current state license and certification in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Position urgency is a quick start. Holiday coverage is required.
