The Apprentice Mechanic independently troubleshoots routine issues, completes assigned work orders, and escalates more complex repairs as needed. Work directly impacts equipment safety, reliability, and daily operational readiness. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and working in awkward positions. Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools. Typically work in garages or workshops, which may be noisy, have unpleasant odors, a limited ventilation. Exposure to chemicals, oils, and other hazardous substances. Often required to wear protective gear, such as gloves and safety glasses. May be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Travel Required N/A Additional Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
