Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM | 5 Days/Week | 40 Hours/Week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes
Pay Rate: $22 – $24/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back-office clinical operations, including patient care, phlebotomy, scheduling, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to an externship.
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
EMR experience required, including Athena EMR.
Recent front and back-office clinical experience.
Experience with EKG and Point-of-Care testing.
Strong communication and computer skills.
BLS/CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
Greet and room patients and obtain vital signs.
Schedule appointments and manage patient scheduling needs.
Answer incoming phone calls.
Perform blood draws and venipuncture.
Administer vaccines as directed.
Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care testing.
Maintain accurate patient documentation in Athena EMR.
Collect applicable patient fees.
Provide clinical and administrative support as needed.
Support health education and outreach activities.
Maintain professional relationships with center staff.
Follow established clinical, safety, and patient-care procedures.
