Manager, Data Science - Finance Advanced Analytics & Reporting

Manager, Data Science role within Global Finance focused on designing advanced analytics, financial models, and reporting solutions that enhance decision-making. The position combines finance expertise with data science and engineering capabilities to translate business problems into scalable, executive-ready insights and modernize planning and reporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Partner with Finance and Controllership teams to translate complex business problems into analytical questions and success criteria
Trace finance requirements to SAP data structures and identify relevant modules, tables, and relationships across enterprise platforms
Profile and analyze high-volume SAP financial data using SQL, Python, or PySpark to assess completeness and fitness for purpose
Apply statistical analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, and scenario modeling to uncover patterns and quantify risks and opportunities
Lead proof-of-concept development and convert successful initiatives into production-ready solution recommendations with clear architecture and scalability considerations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or STEM discipline
10+ years building advanced analytics, data science, or financial modeling with SAP data
Demonstrated ownership of complex analytics products from requirements through production
Advanced analytics foundation: statistical analysis, forecasting, regression, anomaly detection, segmentation
Hands-on proficiency with Python, SQL, PySpark, data preparation, and visualization
Experience developing financial, operational, and forecasting models
Strong knowledge of SAP Finance, ERP, S/4HANA, ACDOCA, CFIN, and SAP BW/4HANA
