The physicians who care for Florida's children tomorrow are training in UF Pediatrics today — and the coordinators in the Pediatric Medical Education Office are a significant reason that training runs well. If you're an organized, people-centered administrator who thrives in a complex academic environment, we have multiple openings in the Department of Pediatrics' central medical education hub that are worth your attention. These positions may each be filled at the Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator I or Coordinator II level, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of assigned fellowship programs, with a strong focus on program operations and accreditation compliance. Working closely with the Program Director, the Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for fellows, faculty, the institutional GME office, and accrediting bodies.

The Coordinator plays an integral role in fellowship recruitment and educational program administration. Responsibilities include managing the full fellowship recruitment cycle, including ERAS administration, applicant communications, interview scheduling, and NRMP Match activities. The position also coordinates educational activities such as didactic conferences, clinical rotations, faculty teaching schedules, and fellow evaluation processes.

At both appointment levels, Coordinators contribute to broader PME office operations by providing administrative support and coverage across Pediatric programs. This includes supporting Program Directors, Associate Program Directors, and Chief Residents and facilitating effective communication and coordination among fellows, faculty, program leadership, and institutional stakeholders.

Expected Salary:

Salary is commensurate on education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Level II: Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience coordinating educational programs, accredited residency and/or fellowship programs; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred

Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator I — Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in an academic, healthcare, or university administrative environment
• Familiarity with University of Florida travel and purchasing rules and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across faculty, trainees, and administrative peers
• Demonstrated ability to proofread and manage detailed correspondence accurately

Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator II — Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing residency or fellowship recruitment cycles, including ERAS and Match coordination
• Experience with University of Florida systems including myUFL and institutional travel and purchasing regulations
• Demonstrated ability to manage accreditation committee support, milestone reporting, and case log oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with faculty, program directors, and trainees across multiple concurrent programs
