Transaction Manager

We are looking for a highly accomplished and strategic leader to oversee the end-to-end acquisition and closing process for residential mortgage portfolios. This pivotal position drives complex capital markets transactions from initial trade confirmation through final settlement and post-close management. The ideal professional brings a deep background in contract finance, expert risk assessment capability, and a proven track record of managing multi-party transaction lifecycles efficiently. Responsibilities Direct third-party diligence partners across credit, compliance, and valuation to synthesize findings for executive leadership. Oversee funding timelines and collaborate with internal treasury teams to validate final purchase tapes and authorize wire execution. Manage the comprehensive trade lifecycle for residential mortgage pools from initial term sheet through final settlement. Serve as the primary liaison for sellers, legal counsel, custodians, and servicers to ensure seamless communication and execution. Track and resolve post-closing documentation exceptions and reconciliation items within established timeframes. Qualifications Possess 8+ years of direct experience executing and closing residential whole loan trades within an asset management, investment banking, or mortgage environment. Advanced proficiency in evaluating mortgage loan purchase agreements, including interpreting representations, warranties, and indemnification clauses. Strong analytical skills using advanced spreadsheet functions for loan-level data verification and settlement reconciliation. Comprehensive knowledge of residential mortgage collateral, valuation frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards. Demonstrated capability to lead high-volume pipelines and coordinate successfully with institutional custodians and servicers. Familiarity with non-agency securitization structures and asset eligibility frameworks is highly preferred. Superb communication skills with a track record of presenting transactional risks and updates to executive stakeholders.
