What You'll Do: Enter data from source documents into accounting system, databases, or spreadsheets Post accounts receivable and accounts payable journal entries into the accounting system Create invoices in the accounting system and distribute to customers Verify and input accounts payable details and assist with the check payment process Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations Monitor and record incoming payments and deposits Prepare data for sales and use tax payments Effectively communicate and work with a variety of associates regarding invoicing and payment approvals for sports events Effectively communicate with external vendors regarding set-up requirements, credits, and discrepancies Assist with credit card expense reconciliation and posting journal entries Identify and elevate priority issues Represent the department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established company standards and associate attributes at all times Other administrative duties – general filing and copying as assigned Skills You'll Need: Associate degree in accounting or related field 1-3 years of accounts receivable / accounts payable experience preferred Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization as well as interface with customers and vendors Excellent verbal & written communication skills Ability to keep sensitive information confidential Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs – Excel, Word and Sage Intacct software is a plus Compensation and Benefits We are currently seeking an in-office, part-time position, however with work demand it could evolve into a full-time position. Hourly pay rate begins at $22/hr. and pay will be commensurate with experience.
