Led by Dr. Raj Patel, a double-board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon, the practice focuses on delivering the highest-quality care with precision and confidence.Our team is seeking a Medical Assistant for a dermatology career. The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. Our team members are responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultations and procedures, through the following responsibilities:Prepare examination rooms for each appointment, ensuring cleanliness, and stock them with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.Engage and focus on the patient experience.Responsible for gathering patient information, informed consent, and payment informationAssist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and scheduling patient follow-up appointments.Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members.Accurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as requiredComplete logs and send specimens to the laboratoryPerform other tasks and duties as directedExperience and Education:2 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experienceMedical Assistant (MA) Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification are preferredHands-on experience in a clinical settingExperience with EMRDermatology or surgical experience is preferred.POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKFull-TimeMonday-Thursday 7a-4pFriday 7a-12pWe offer competitive salaries and benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision are available after 30 days of hireShort-term disability and life insurance, along with many ancillary options.401(k) available after 90 days of hireExcellent growth and advancement opportunitiesLocation: Cullman
