Hospital Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Good Samaritan in Portland, OR . Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Work Schedule: Rotating Schedule 10:00PM – 7:30AM, Thursday‑Saturday and Sunday‑Wednesday followed by a week off. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience 2 or more years of inpatient phlebotomy experience 6 or more months of direct patient care Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
