Finance Data Analyst

Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Length - 9 Months

Pay Rate: $79/hr and $84/hr

Role Overview

This assignment involves consulting on complex finance initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning. The role requires reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted finance challenges. The candidate will contribute to resolutions that require a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data and business analysis to support Finance and Treasury initiatives.
• Work with Treasury and Liquidity reporting frameworks, such as 2052a and 6G.
• Analyze and document business and data requirements.
• Perform data lineage analysis and ensure data quality across systems.
• Conduct source-to-target data mapping for financial data flows.
• Write and execute SQL queries for analysis, validation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex finance and data challenges.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Work independently with limited supervision on complex deliverables.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. Experience should include strong data and business analysis skills.

Technical Skills: Experience with Treasury / Liquidity reporting (2052a, 6G). Strong SQL skills and expertise in data lineage, data quality, and data mapping.

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional knowledge of loans (consumer/commercial).
• Experience with balance sheet products (deposits, derivatives, etc.).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $79.06 and $84.33 per hour. The contract length is 9 months.
