Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Requirements:

• WA professional license required
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• NICU experience required (must be able to independently intubate a neonate)
• Certifications: RRT, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• EPIC skills required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care for neonates in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Perform independent neonatal intubation and extubation procedures.
• Manage and monitor ventilators, including troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.
• Administer respiratory medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend coverage: Variable
• Float required to other campuses
• Compliance notes for previous employees of affiliated facilities may apply.
