Printer Field Svc Technician, II

Responsibilities Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including basic aspects of troubleshooting and diagnostics. Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on‑site maintenance. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned. Guide less experienced technicians in maintaining technical information and Canon property. Provide solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service‑related problem areas for any requested territory. Qualifications HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; willingness to travel. Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift work and on‑call rotations. Must be able to obtain necessary security and/or other clearances required by customers for on‑premises access. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Benefits Base salary range: $21.50 – $30.75 per hour.
