Business Analyst

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities: Control Management & Governance:

• Support the Corporate Responsibility (CR) CORE risk and control framework, including control processes designed to review, inspect, monitor, and report on control matters
• Conduct process and control validations, reviews, and testing activities to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement
• Review and maintain control management documentation to support compliance, governance, and audit readiness
• Serve as an advisor and resource to stakeholders across the firm by providing guidance, context, and support on the CORE framework and ongoing control reviews
• Partner with Corporate Control functions and other stakeholders to facilitate adherence to control requirements and standards
• Assess the control implications of proposed program changes, new initiatives, and business expansions, and provide input on appropriate control considerations
• Support firmwide control responsibilities, including the review, inspection, maintenance, and reporting of activities related to: Records Management; Employee Designations; Procedures Management; User Tool Program Compliance; Office of Legal Obligations; E-Communications; Business Resiliency; Other firmwide control programs, as applicable

• Support the team's day-to-day compliance due diligence processes, including the review and disposition of sanctions, negative media, and other compliance alerts
• Conduct research and investigations using firm proprietary tools, public-source information, and other available resources to assess potential compliance concerns
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience within financial services industry required
• Requires a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience, including 1+ years in Controls, Risk, Business Process Improvement, Audit and/or Compliance
• Experience in risk identification, control testing, controls substantiation, audit processes, key risk indicators, etc. is a plus
• Experience in regulatory and corporate governance matters, knowledge of control framework particulars is a plus
• Experience implementing process improvements/project management skills
• Must be an independent self-starter, with natural curiosity and strong ability to inspect, assess, and challenge status quo
• Must display and promote a risk-aware mindset, contributing to a culture of control
• Proven planning, coordination and implementation skills and the ability to work across siloes and functions to deliver and execute
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as time management and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with divergent stakeholders, from various backgrounds and proficiencies across a large, global organization
• Ability to maintain focus and deliver outcomes on multiple projects at the same time
