Responsibilities: Provides professional nursing care to patients in various health care settings, observing, assessing, and recording patient symptoms and reactions. Administers prescribed medications and treatments, monitors patients on a timely basis, and provides immediate medical attention during emergencies. Conducts nursing rounds, takes and records vitals, and prepares patients for procedures or tests. Assists in staff development, reviews care plans, and trains new employees.
