Onsite Physician Services – Urgent Care 
Location: Erie, PA 16504
Shift: Standard Shift
Duration:  Full time position
Job Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities (Direct Patient Care – ~85%)
•    Provide urgent care triage, evaluation, and patient assessment 
•    Order and interpret diagnostic tests and recommend treatment plans 
•    Document all clinical encounters in CPRS (same-day documentation required as per VA guidelines) 
•    Stabilize patients and arrange transfer when higher-level care is required 
•    Provide consultations and communicate with referring providers (in person or by phone) 
•    Ensure appropriate medication management in compliance with VA policies (no sample medications allowed) 
•    Communicate test results to providers and patients 
•    Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions 
Administrative Responsibilities (~15%)
•    Attend staff meetings as required by Medical Director or Chief of Staff 
•    Complete QA/QI documentation for procedures, complications, and outcomes 
•    Follow all patient safety and infection control protocols 
•    Report incidents, medication errors, and patient safety concerns within 24 hours via VA reporting systems 

Qualifications
•    Active, full, and unrestricted Physician license in any U.S. state or territory 
•    No history of revoked, suspended, or restricted licensure 
•    Board Certified or Board Eligible 
•    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification 
•    Strong communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing) 
•    Must provide proof of licensure, certification, education, and training as required
